Customer's Place

Learning to prepare healthy meals is an essential - and sometimes overlooked - step toward independence for foster youth. Many do not have the advantage of growing up in kitchens where these skills were learned. Our Cooking and Nutrition Classes for youth in Delaware fill this gap by transforming kitchens into places of belonging and self-care. Working alongside caring mentors in Camden Wyoming, participants try hands-on healthy meal prep classes. We promote nutrition education that helps foster youth understand a balanced diet, meal planning, and mindful eating. Practical cooking skills for young adults grow naturally with guidance and encouragement, while recipes are shared to fit various lifestyles and budgets. This balanced diet and cooking support help youth to thrive on their own while feeling confident, healthy, and proud every time they take charge in the kitchen.
